We’re thrilled to announce the latest update to ServBay, your powerful all-in-one development environment management tool!
With this release, we’ve introduced the highly requested NGINX support. Starting from version 1.7.0, you can choose NGINX as your default web server, providing a powerful alternative to Caddy. By incorporating the familiar NGINX, we’re further enhancing the convenience and compatibility of web development with ServBay.
New ServBay users can select NGINX as their default web server during the initial setup process.
Existing ServBay users can install the NGINX package through the “Services” option and then set NGINX as the default web server in the “Settings”. ServBay will automatically migrate your configurations from Caddy to NGINX.
Important Note: If you’ve used custom Caddy configurations for any websites, those sites will not be automatically migrated to NGINX. You’ll need to manually modify the configurations for these sites.
New Features
- NGINX Support: You can now set NGINX as your default web server, maintaining the same ease of use.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the logic error in handling multiple IP inputs for DNS upstream servers.
- Fixed the crash that occurred when pressing CMD+Z while configuring custom websites.
- Resolved the issue where a single ACME certificate couldn’t be bound to multiple hosts.
User Experience Enhancements - If a required software package isn’t installed, the service configuration page will be disabled, prompting the user to install the package first.
- When adding a website with custom configuration, a default scaffold will be generated to facilitate modifications.
